FAQ - Frequently asked questions
What is a sample sale?
Samples are prototypes made by the manufacturers in the fashion industry that are used at trade shows and fashion shows for interested buyers. True samples are typically limited in stock and sizes due to their original purpose. Sample Sales are retail events where people can buy these garments for a fraction of the original price which is typically 50 to 90% off the retail price. At WearMySample Sales you will find true samples as well as overstock merchandise, returns and garments that were never sold in stores.
What size is a sample size?
A sample size is usually a size small. Nowadays a typical sample size is from a 2 to a 6, if you wear a bigger size do not be discouraged though, we offer bigger sizes at many of our sales.
What is the difference between sample and production?
A sample is a prototype made in limited sizes as we described earlier. Production is overstock merchandise so you have more chances to find your size.
When is your next sample sale? How can I find you again?
You can find out about our next sample sale by Joining our Mailing List. We will notify you of any upcoming sale via e-mail.
Are samples used and damaged?
Samples are not used in a sense that they are not second hand garments or previously owned but they were probably used at trade shows as presentation of a designer collection. Samples can be irregular and they maybe damaged so you should always check before buying. We usually inspect the merchandise before a sample sale because we don't want to sell items that are visibly damaged but sometimes we may miss a few garments. Items sold at our Sample Sales are considered Final Sale however for items purchased online we have a Return & Exchange Policy.
I can't try the clothes on, how do I know if it fits?
Our sale associates are there to help you with sizes and with any doubts you have. For certain brands we do allow to try the clothes on because they are easy to slip on and they don't risk getting damaged but in general you will have to follow your fashion sense.
Where do you get the samples from and why are they so cheap?
Our samples and stock come directly from the manufacturers and the showrooms. Generally designers have no use for samples after they have presented their collection to potential buyers so they are more than happy to move their excess merchandise even if it means reducing the prices to unbelievable bargains.
